A 6-week container for women ready to come home to themselves
This is where you remember.
6 women · 6 weeks · Sundays 5pm BST · Next cohort begins 28th June 2026
Does any of this sound familiar?
You are doing all the right things. Showing up. Holding it together. From the outside, it looks fine. But underneath something feels off. Like you are going through the motions of your life without quite living it.
You know what you want. Sort of. But every time you get close to it, something pulls you back. Self doubt. Overwhelm. That creeping feeling that you are not quite worthy of the things you actually want.
You feel alone in this process. Like everyone else has it figured out and you are the only one still circling the same things.
This is not a confidence problem. It is not a motivation problem. It is a self trust problem. And it can be rebuilt.
The version of you that knows what she wants, trusts herself, takes up space without apology. She is still in there. She has just been buried under years of adjusting, managing, editing herself in real time to keep everyone else comfortable.
Words and the Work is how you get back to her.
About Ani
I spent years learning how to disappear into other people. On stage, on screen. It took me longer to realise I had been doing the same thing off it.
I'm a published poet, a working actor, and a qualified life coach. I've spent my life studying what it means to be human — what we perform, what we hide, and what it costs us. Words & The Work came from my own undoing — and remaking.
I hold the space. The writing does the work.

A 6-week container for women ready to come home to themselves
90 minutes a week. 6 women. 6 weeks. Every Sunday at 5pm BST.
Next cohort begins 28th June 2026 · Can't always make it live? Every session is recorded — you never lose the thread.
What this is
Each session we come together as six women and we remember. Not who we are supposed to be. Not the daughter, the sister, the wife, the mother, the colleague. All of that gets left at the door.
For 90 minutes every Sunday you are just you. Fully, completely, without apology.
We open with a guided visualisation — not a relaxation exercise, but a doorway. A way of accessing the deepest parts of yourself that the thinking mind cannot reach alone. What surfaces there is real. Then you write it. Unedited, unfiltered, no stopping. This is not journalling as habit. This is journalling as excavation.
Then we talk. Live coaching that witnesses you, challenges you gently, and holds you accountable to what you actually want. Because the women in this room are not just participants. They are mirrors. Each one reflecting something back to you that you could not see alone.
This is a space where you take responsibility for what you want to create. Where you remember that you are not waiting for life to happen. You are already co-creating it, right here, right now. Together.
You leave every session with a recording to return to. Life happens — if you ever need to miss a live session, the recording means you never lose the thread. You leave the six weeks with something more valuable than that — a group of women who have watched you come home to yourself, and who you have watched come home too.
This is not about fixing yourself. You were never broken. This is about remembering.
Every session. Every week.
Sundays · 5pm BST · 12pm EDT · 9am PDT · 8pm GST
The journey
Each week builds on the last. You arrive not knowing where you'll end up. That's the point.
Permission
We begin here. A guided visualisation opens the space — and then you write. No performance, no editing, no right answers. You arrive exactly as you are, and that is enough.
Excavation
Who were you before the world got loud? We go beneath the roles, the habits, the identity built for survival. Then you write what surfaces. She's still in there.
Name It
The things you've stopped saying. The specific ways you have silenced yourself — in your relationships, your work, your own head. This week you write them down. Without shame.
Dissolve
The identity that no longer serves you gets examined and gently released. What are you carrying that was never yours? What are you still doing out of habit, fear, or the need for approval?
Rewrite
This is where it gets electric. You stop planning to live as the new version and start actually doing it. You write her. You speak her out loud. You are witnessed doing it. The old story loses its grip.
Rebirth
You share. We witness. We celebrate. You leave this room knowing who you are, what you want to say, and that you are not alone in becoming her. This is the beginning, not the end.
By the end of 6 weeks
Is this for you?
This is not about confidence. It is about self-trust. The part of you that already knows is still there. She just needs the space to be heard.

About
The story
I've spent my life in the study of being human. On stage, on screen, on the page, and in the room with people who are trying to figure out who they are.
I trained as an actor, which taught me how to disappear into other people with extraordinary precision. In theatre and in film. It took me years to understand I had been doing the same thing off set and off stage. Performing a version of myself that worked, that was legible, that kept everyone comfortable. Until it didn't work anymore.
The process of dismantling that — of asking who I actually was beneath the performance — is what became Words & The Work.
I know what it is to be articulate about everyone else's experience and completely mute about your own.
I started Unplug With Ani as a podcast — conversations with entrepreneurs and creatives about their journeys. Over time, I realised the most important conversation I needed to be having was the inward one. The podcast became a space for that. This container is the live version.
I'm a published poet, my debut collection HOPE is available on Amazon. I'm a working actor in theatre and film. I'm a qualified life coach. But more than any of that: I am someone who has done the messy, necessary, joyful work of figuring out who she actually is and I want to hold that space for you.

What others say
From coaching, facilitation, poetry workshops and speaking.
"Working with Anisa has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. When I first reached out, I was still battling painful thoughts from my divorce, dealing with long-standing weight issues, and confronting deep generational trauma I had barely begun to understand. I felt overwhelmed and disconnected from myself.
From our very first session, Anisa created a safe, compassionate space where I felt truly seen and heard. With her support, I began to heal — not just from the heartbreak of my divorce, but from patterns and beliefs that had held me back for years.
Our work together empowered me to reclaim my body with kindness and self-respect, to break cycles I once thought were unchangeable, and to show up for myself in ways I never thought possible. I am endlessly grateful and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for real, lasting change."
Sana — Coaching client
"We had a magical and creative poetry workshop facilitated by Anisa. She made us all feel right at home. Grounded. Inspired. She had a mix of prompts, examples, and movement, and it all really worked and flowed. She's a fantastic facilitator and even better human. I got so clear on the person I want next to me and the person I'd like to be — that a few weeks later, I actually found my person. Dare I say she changed my life?"
Tonina — Workshop participant
Vocals & Verses — Spoken Word Showcase
"I have been thinking about writing a book for a while now, and it was only when Anisa facilitated a session that I felt I was capable of doing this. With her simple prompts and clear guidance, she encouraged me not only to write the first paragraph and the outline of the book but also to write my first poem ever. I'm so grateful for her time and energy, and I highly recommend her to anyone who feels stuck."
Amy — Workshop participant
"I was extremely comfortable doing the session with her, which made me feel at ease, and I was able to open up effortlessly."
1:1 Coaching client
"Anisa is a highly creative person and performed powerful pieces on racism and mental wellbeing for our company, supporting our workplace conversations on diversity and inclusion. She prodded us to challenge ourselves — our preconceptions, our attitudes — and encouraged us to hold open and meaningful conversations. We were wowed by her performance, so much so that we asked her to speak at the Institute of Water EDI Conference a year later, where she wowed the audience again."
Abu Rashid, MOSL
"It was a pleasure working with Anisa. She was professional, timely, and brought a captivating presence to our DEI event. Her thought-provoking poetry deeply resonated with the audience, and she was wonderfully flexible in aligning with our theme."
Corina Pascal, Director
"As someone who thought they were in tune with themselves, I took a step back and realised I needed some extra support. Ani was that person for me. Her natural approach was not only refreshing but enlightening. Highly recommend her tools for wellbeing."
1:1 Coaching client
"The visualisation exercises were wonderful and the guidance was kept at a beautiful pace — nothing felt rushed. I was able to reconnect with some of my old wounds and sorrow, and it was wonderful to be able to give them some needed attention. The dynamic between connecting to our inner child and then following with a connection to our inner grown self was lovely.
My personal reflection afterwards was one of much gratefulness for my own growth journey — as a few years back I would not have been able to be so vulnerable in a setting with people. And I'm a really emotional man. The open space at the end was magical and playful. Once again thank you. Hope to see you in the future."
Glenn — Workshop participant
UnderOne — Uniting Diversity, Igniting Change
"I just wanted to express how beautiful your workshop was. I had such an incredible time and unlocked parts of my higher self I didn't know were there. I also loved that we had a moment to speak so openly where I got to declare the important things that are on my heart. Thank you so much for creating such a safe and gorgeous space."
Molly — Facilitation
"Thank you, Anisa, for a beautiful evening. Your poetry was lovely, and the way you guided us to move, reflect, and write our feelings made the experience so warm and memorable."

Select 1-1 work
For those ready to go beneath the surface.
What this is
Most people spend their lives working on what they can see — the behaviour, the pattern, the symptom. Very few go to where it actually began.
This work does.
In a 1-1 space with me, you go underneath. Underneath the story you have been telling yourself. Underneath the conditioning you absorbed before you had the language to name it. Underneath the version of yourself you built to survive — and toward the one that was always there waiting.
This is not talking about your life. This is excavating it. Using guided visualisation, deep reflective work, and live presence to access the parts of you that thinking alone cannot reach.
I don't fix you. I witness you. And in being truly witnessed — something shifts that years of trying to figure it out alone never could.
I don't just hear what you are saying. I see what is beneath it. That has always been my gift — long before it became my work.
Who this is for
This work is for anyone — man or woman — who is ready to stop managing the surface and start understanding what is underneath it.
How I work
I have been holding space for people my entire life — long before I formalised it as work. As an actor, I learned how to inhabit the truth of human experience. As a poet, I learned how to find the precise language for things that resist being named. As a facilitator, I learned how to create the conditions for real things to surface safely.
I hold qualifications in counselling (NCFE Levels 1-3) and life coaching (Advanced Diploma, Achology Certified) — not as titles, but as foundations. What I bring into the room goes beyond any qualification. It is the capacity to see the soul of a person and reflect it back to them with clarity, compassion, and zero judgement.
Sessions draw on guided visualisation, deep reflective dialogue, somatic awareness, and writing as an excavation tool. Each one is entirely led by what you bring and what the work calls for. No two sessions look the same.
Availability
This is intentional. The depth of presence this work requires means it cannot be offered to many. If you feel called to work with me directly — trust that feeling. Enquire. The conversation itself will tell us both whether it is right.
You can read what others have experienced working with me on the "What others say" page.
